Green clothing may disappear too. This first version uses colour removal, not AI or motion tracking; fine hair and uneven screens can need adjustment. No video restore brush or moving-video backgrounds yet. HDR, protected videos, subtitles and extra tracks are not supported. Original files remain unchanged. Allow time for export and use shorter clips on phones.

How this tool works

Choose a video and drag START and END to select up to 30 seconds. Pick the screen colour, add and position a background, then prepare the video engine. Check a frame before creating the MP4. Play the finished video and review its sound before downloading.

Frequently asked questions

What is Video Green Screen & Background Replacer useful for?

Replace a video screen colour with your own image or solid background. Preview the complete result with sound before sharing it and keep the source recording unchanged.

Is my information stored?

Your text is processed locally in a browser worker. It is not uploaded by this tool or saved in browser storage. Clear releases the working input and result. Downloads remain in your normal download folder.

Will the MP4 be transparent?

No. The replacement image and base colour are combined into a standard H.264 MP4. Transparent PNG areas and gaps use the chosen base colour.

What are the limits?

Browser-playable SDR sources up to 100 MB, five minutes and 1080p; exported selections up to 30 seconds, 720p-class resolution and 30 frames per second. Export re-encodes video and the first audio track. Protected files, HDR, subtitles and extra tracks are unsupported.

Why are there two previews?

The quick preview is reduced-resolution and approximate for easier positioning. Check this frame uses the same engine and colour settings as export. Always review the completed video; green clothing and uneven lighting can make colour removal difficult.
